Work-in-progress, and what it really means to me.

Sometimes you work on a piece and it beats you. This lady right here beat me yesterday:

…and that’s okay. I learned some things. It started here:

I don’t really sketch as much as I wish I could. Whether it’s life knocking on your door in the form of a day job, or anxiety about your loved ones dying en masse from a global pandemic, it’s not always the right time to just sit down and try to experiment.

But I did. This razorgirl piece beat me in the end, but I tried something new.

And that’s okay, I’m okay, and chances are if you’re reading this, you’re probably okay too, and that means that there’s still time to get to that piece that beat you. It’s only temporary.

To that end, I’m going to see if there’s an opportunity to dig into an older piece that maybe didn’t get enough love because it was being difficult to me or I wasn’t being caring enough to it.
